On May 2nd, 2026, My Safe Harbor hosted their annual Celebrate Mothers Mothers Day Brunch. During this event, My Safe Harbor shares their impact that they have made and continue to make in the lives of women in Anaheim in 3 impactful and transformative ways. It all starts with their Mother’s Club, where mothers can just show up as they are despite the season of life they are walking through. Once a community starts to build, they are encouraged to join the Strong Families Institute, a 30-week program designed to educate, inspire, and develop. After that, they have the opportunity to give back to women whose shoes they were once wearing.

OneVine had the honor of presenting the Ruth Grace Award to America Juarez. This award goes to a woman that is part of the communities that we serve exemplifying humility and sacrifice. America graduated from the Leadership Academy in 2022. A Strong Families Institute Facilitator, participant in the Mother’s Club Committee, Alumni Committee Liaison, teacher at My Safe Harbor focused on Knowing and Understanding God, and leader of two weekly Bible studies at her church, she continually pours into the lives of others with wisdom, faith, and a servant-hearted dedication to her community.

1. What adversity has she faced and how did she exemplify resilience?

America exemplified resilience when she makes difficult decisions for a better future for her children. That alone is a sacrifice and comes with its own challenges. She has met this by integrating into her community as an involved parent and community member.

2. How has she demonstrated unwavering sacrifice and what was the outcome?

America is one of the most dedicated volunteers at My Safe Harbor. She is here every day we are open and usually from open to close. She is truly passionate about helping other mothers and families, especially to help them discover the love, joy, and hope that is found in Christ. She sacrifices her time and own personal needs to help others. The outcome is that she has helped create a safe place for women to ask questions about God and their faith without judgement and has developed a bridge between My Safe Harbor and the church.

3. In which ways have you seen them place their trust in the Lord?

America is a faithful Christian who puts her trust in the Lord daily. She relies on the Lord to get her through difficult seasons in her marriage and parenting journey. Her trust in the Lord is constantly on display and during difficult seasons of uncertainty, America was a steady voice of peace and reassurance, reminding her friends and family to trust in God no matter the circumstances.

4. Tell me a time when you saw a great sense of humility displayed?

America never makes anything about herself. She serves with no expectation of recognition, and would actually prefer not to be recognized. She actively looks for ways to serve behind the scenes with a great deal of humility. America is a very creative and talented artist and has created many things to enhance the environment at My Safe Harbor and her church, but she never boasts in her abilities.
